Duplicity Self Portrait

It’s been raining from day to night and night to day. Working in the office these days with such crazy weather makes the room freezing.

Hence, thought of taking a portrait shot wearing the hooded jacket for my office department banner. Though I know it’s not a professional corporate portraiture but I just think it’s a nice portrait for my own keeping after photographing most of my peers/colleagues in the office.

Project Strobist – Week #13 – Don’t Look Back

I’d like to take my project strobist week #13 to wish a peer and a friend of mine a Happy Fasting month. I know abstaining from all foods and drinks for a period of time is a pretty tough but I believe you can do it without any issues.

Just don’t look back in time as with a blink of an eye a month will be over and we’ll be able to continue our journey with Colonel Harland Sanders greatest invention, KFC.

Department Banner Project

The story with the department banner project started when I was approached by my manager after being recommended by another manager (what I’ve heard) that have following my pictures since I’ve started photography to work on the department banner project. What the whole project is actually collecting all the staff’s in my department portraiture taken, then the portraits will be then chosen by individual and sent to the vendor to have the department banner designed.

I was practically excited on this project hence took the effort to have my gears carried to office to get those portraiture. With that said I practically have a more complete caller ID in my phone, just kidding…

Anyway, below are some of the 3 day’s portraiture shots taken out of 34 folks in total…

Project Strobist – Week #12 – Silky Smooth Hair

This week I’ll be doing quite a number of portraiture shots as I was summoned to get some corporate portraiture for a banner to be in place as mentioned in previous post. Though there’s more to be taken on coming Saturday and Sunday there’s some peers that will not be able to make it hence took the opportunity to have a shot of them as well.

With corporate portraiture taken, it’s time to get this opportunity to try out some other shots as well. Hence thought of the below and executed it for Project Strobist Week #12…

Penang GSM Wardens

It’s been a great excitement to get the opportunity to shoot for corporate portraiture in the office. Started off with the managers aka wardens for the department in Penang.

Will be doing more corporate portraiture for the rest of my peers on Saturday and Sundays. Can’t wait to do it…

Sky Residences – EUPE Corporation Berhad

As mentioned in previous post, I’ve got the opportunity to shoot for a commercial photo shoot for EUPE’s latest project, Sky Residences. It’s a great experience to photograph show rooms as there’s lots of factor to consider to get the sweet spot of the room.

The development consists of 3 blocks shaped as an arc. Each block layout is organized around a circle of activities and surrounded by landscape spaces which will be ideal venues for recreation and social communal functions, gatherings or simply quiet corners for private reflection.

Project Strobist – Week #11 – Safety

When it comes to construction, safety is always a main concern. No matter what or where you go safety always comes first but when it comes to construction site there’s so much safety that needs to follow that if you were to gain access to the construction premises you’ll always need to have your helmet on.

Anyway, got the below strobist project for week #11 when I was summoned for a commercial shoot with my partner from NutmegStudio™. It was a great experience no doubt and it’s also a pretty scary experience to step into construction site riding the construction lif. *Note: I’m afraid of heights*. Taking the construction lif going up to 14th floor or so was a scary experience as I’m practically in a steel cage with a steel floor which was welded. All I have in my mind is not actually looking at the breath-taking view in the cage on the top but more towards “I hope the welder did a good job!”

Project Strobist – Week #10 – iPhone 3GS

Maxis has launch Apple’s iPhone 3GS on 31st July 2009, unfortunately due to unforeseen world wide shortages for 32GB it was then delayed up to 5th of August 2009 for collection.
